I've driven by the new location several times. Love the SOW on the light tower.

Looks great but a bit small though, I wonder if they're going to expand that area. I know they also have a campus over by the FC Dallas stadium.

I think UNT Frisco will explode with growth due to its location.  They are showing signs of support for UNT sports.  I just hope we will do a shuttle bus or something to give them easy access to games and events.  Also need to show games on all their TV sets.

100% approve of this. 👍🏽

It looks like this building is just the first of several at that new location.

Love it. Great to see UNT expanding and becoming a top choice in the area and not just a fallback

This is awesome.  Great info @NT80.  Thanks for sharing it.  This could be a huge deal for UNT and I love that they accepted our logo's etc unlike the south Dallas facility who basically shunned us.

It's also nearly next door to the new PGA Headquarters and Golf courses in north Frisco.  That's a very high-growth corridor between Preston Road and the Dallas North Tollway.  Frisco, Prosper, Celina, Hwy 380 all exploding there.

Unlike the annex in Frisco, the South Dallas facility was opened as a stand-alone school.

If they are both a part of the UNT System how does annex versus stand alone differ.  It also seems like both market areas should be potential strengths for the Mean Green family over time.

So should the different UT-XX campuses be supporting the Horns?

No. But those different campuses have different school colors, mascots, NCAA affiliated sports teams. Our UNT campuses do not. They should be supporting UNT. We should be advocating that.m and pretty firmly. And bus rides up to Denton on game days is a great idea.

UNT Dallas has different school colors (blue and yellow) different mascot (jaguar) and different sports teams (NAIA affiliated) so wouldn't this be the same thing? The Frisco campus is just a different campus under UNT-Denton. UNT Dallas is a stand-alone university under the UNT system

Then UNTD is stand alone. UNTF is not.

UNTD is what the conversation was about

I think a better example at this point is UH and their satellite campuses. I would be curious how much attendance they get from Downtown, Victoria, etc.

There used to be attempts (many years ago) to get TWU students to come to UNT games.   Is that still a thing?
