I think this is a huge test right out of the gate and dare I say this could be a program changer??? I know that they aren’t special but need a win against a higher level conference that can build early momentum.

6-7 wins in year one plus a bowl win would push recruiting.  Also would love to see us win 2 of 4 from Cal, SmuT, Memphis, or Utsa.

Overall decent write-up. Not necessarily the most in-depth analysis but paints a fair picture of where we're at, how can we hurt you, and where opponents can take advantage of us. The writer appears to respect UNT so that's nice.

3pm Kickoff on Sept 2nd during the hottest year on record — I would take the points all day. The heat is our home field advantage.

Berkeley has average highs of 74 and lows of 52 right now. Those Cal boys are going to suffer. The Cal coach better drive them to Death Valley for practice that week.

It will be hot so we better get our boys out of the IPF and acclimated as well. Oh, and 2011 is the hottest year on record and the summer of 1980 the hottest summer. This year May end up rivaling those.

Is the grass mowed?  Have we put out any fertilizer or fire ant killer?  Have we gotten the parking situation figured out yet (after how many years)?  Please, please, please, don't screw this up.

All of Texas will be behind us. 105 degree day and a victory, and we will persuade some Californians to stay away from the Lone Star State.

I hope beating Cal could persuade some transplanted Alums of other Pac12 schools to maybe adopt UNT...
