The NCAA does exactly what its members want them to do. The presidents, ADs, and their staffs are the ones who set the rules and tell the national staff where and how to spend their time.

You very well maybe right. But I think you follow the money you'll find whose pulling the strings.

If a G5 wanted NIL they need some sense knocked into their head...lol

Unless you are a school like SMU that realizes the only way they can be relevant is to buy players.

You are exactly right.  The NCAA is the whipping boy for all the problems in CFB.  However it is the cut throat greed plain and simple.  And that makes villains the leaders of top tier programs in football and a lot passionate fans can’t reconcile that fact.  NCAA didn’t breakup conferences the greedy leaders of programs did.  You couldn’t run a pro league with teams like the Cowboys, Lakers, and Yankees dictating revenue sharing without reducing overall interest in their leagues.  No one wants to watch rigged games unless it’s tilted toward their team and they are a little in denial about it being a fair contest.  Long term I believe revenue will go down when adjusted for inflation as have not programs (especially inside the P5) .   I am going to savor the next 5 years because after that I believe Fall Saturdays scrolling through games in front of the TV won’t be fun anymore.
