I don't know if it is about the money for him. He loves North Texas. He, however, does need a raise. It's criminal that every coach on the roster makes more than him (including all the coaches from the last place defense in the FBS) with maybe the exception of the QB coach and I think their salary is the same.

I'm not much of a Twitter poster, but if you are, maybe consider posting a good note to the referenced Twitter post and/or to his account.  We can't give him the raise, but we can show him our appreciation.

One of the most underrated coaches in the nation...think of the running backs he has gone through and our running game just keeps producing and he cranks out nationally ranked RBs. If I'm a RB recruit...I would want to play for him.

No offense but what has he really done?  Yes we have had some good RBs but we had those long before Cobb got here.  If he was so great why has not one other team tried to lure him away?  Very simple answer.

Recruited good talent at RB and out of Oklahoma. Despite multiple injuries, kept the RB room humming and highly-productive. Earned national recognition for his work. Represented the university well. Outstanding representative of our program. 
Why would we not reward one of our own with a top position group when others get paid more on staff with no results?

I have no idea what his financial situation is. How do we know he didn’t voluntarily agree to less money? My only real point is none of us have any idea how all of this shakes out behind the scenes. At the end of the day, he took the job for the amount he took it for. It’s up to him and his agent to negotiate what’s best for him.

Replace someone who doesn’t have the experience for the job with someone who has never even been a coordinator? No.

In a related note, I wouldn’t be opposed to him getting a promotion to co-OC.

I proposed that. I don’t think being a coordinator matters. Swinney at Clemson is one example. I trust Cobbs has enough knowledge and experience from playing and coaching to run a program effectively. I am not against Morris at all, but if he should leave, I would be for Cobbs 100%.

I dry heaved when I read someone refer to it as “national recognition”

It’s the internet, though, so I understand why that account has so much attention.
