Looks like the staff still struggling to bring in another TE.

Wonder if they're recruiting him as an LB. Saw he played there previously at UNLV

He was pretty balanced as a TE. They put him in motion as a lead blocker, let him run routes, and sometimes he was doing the dirty work run blocking.  His hands seem decent in the plays they threw him the ball. It appears he was the 2nd TE based on stats. He played in 8 games.

 

TE usage was pretty limited at Incarnate Word and Washington State under Morris. If we are going to use TEs more for blocking, I'm ok with this pick up. If he's a LB, that's an interesting move since his film seems to be primarily at the TE position.

I would have to assume that he is eligible to transfer now if he started as a full qualifier at UNLV. Given we are seemingly desperate for another TE now, it makes me think this was an offer for this class.

He looked pretty good at defense as well.  He could do well at either, depending on the need.
