I will get out there Saturday and Sunday. I hope our teams can do better than 5th. Men and women teams are currently both ranked 5th in the conference. That is better than where we have been in the past in CUSA, so maybe T&F is seeing some growth under Coach Marshall.

I think Coach Marshall and the staff he has put together will do well in the coming years.

I believe the men finished in fourth.  Not sure about the ladies but we had some exceptional individual performances.  I like the direction of this program

Women finished 7th.

Keyala Dove set the school record and meet record in the women's shotput. Throw was 2nd best in the nation this year.

7th best throw in the world as well.  She surpassed the previous meet record by over 1 meter.  That is incredible.

      Another NIL Coaching Casualty

      Please move if needed, posting here as it's related to NIL and is probably more applicable to football than basketball. Miami basketball head coach is resigning. The following are quotes that should be of concern to any fan but especially some of your blue blood programs. What happens when you can no longer outspend your peers so your legendary coaches leave? Saban was the most name worthy retirement but there's been plenty others and here's another big name leaving. NIL will be reeled in when the big money boosters lose their favorite coaches, no longer see the wins on their records, and see they can no longer just money-whip their way to success. From the Miami Herald: “At this point, after 53 years, I just didn’t feel that I could successfully navigate this whole new world that I was dealing with because my conversations were ridiculous with an agent saying to me, `Well, you can get involved [with a prospective player] if you’re willing to go to $1.1 million, and that would be the norm.” ... “What shocked me beyond belief was after we made the Final Four just 18 months ago, the very first time I met with the players, eight of them decided they were going to put their names in the portal and leave. “I said, `Don’t you like it here?’ They’d say, `I love Miami, it’s great.’ But the opportunity to make money someplace else created a situation that you have to begin to ask yourself, as a coach, what is this all about?’’ He added that he tried “every which way” to make things work, but “last year was a disaster”, and this year was not going well, either.
