GMG Report: TCU Transfer WR Blair Conwright Visiting North Texas

Recommended Posts

According to sources TCU WR Transfer Blair Conwright is on campus today visiting North Texas.

Conwright, a former three-star wide receiver and a junior with the Horned Frogs, appeared in all 15 games for TCU in 2022. He caught five passes for 63 yards.

Over the course of his TCU career the 5-foot-10 Conwright caught 39 passes for 552 yards and three touchdowns with 257 of those yards coming in 2021.

North Texas has had two wide receivers into the portal in last few weeks in Jyaire Shorter and Tommy Bush. Blair could help fill the openings in the wide receiver room.

Did Bush enter the Portal, or is he moving on after completing his Master's? I am not seeing him listed on 247 or On3.

If he is 5’10” then he is not a replacement for the 6’2” Shorter or 6’5” Bush.

If you watched the NFL draft you saw a lot more WR under 6 drafted than over. Also I think the big tall receiver is already on campus in Trey Cleveland

Cleveland fills that bill.  Besides, our top receivers have typically been on the "smaller" sided.

Burns: 5'9"  200 lbs.

Darden:  5'9"  174 lbs.

Chancellor: 5'9"  186 lbs.

Harris:  5'8"  183 lbs.

Good point on Cleveland. I forgot about him. I just know you typically want taller guys on the outside.

Sounds like a NIL-hungry, selfish guy who should've been loyal to his first school ....
... Wait, he's interested in coming TO North Texas from somewhere else? ...
In that case, he should really consider UNT and I hope he signs here!!!!!1!1!!1!1

I remember a time when 18 year olds made a five-year commitment to earn a general studies degree and stayed loyal no matter the whims of their multi-millionaire coaches.

In all 15 games and only caught 5 passes in TCU's air offense?
