For those who follow the NBA and/or the playoffs, Minnesota's Anthony Edwards missed a game-tying 3-point attempt Tuesday night to end their season. Instead of hanging around, he ran straight to the locker room. The path had not been completely cleared yet and he had to sneak his way through. He tossed a chair out of his way, which at worst, landed at the feet of a couple of arena staff.

I know some will say he shouldn't have put himself in that situation, but this may have been the most insane cash grab against an athlete I've seen... stuff like this makes a joke out of real victims.

Per the ESPN article, the injuries were not serious, and there was no mention of a hospital visit. "Edwards is scheduled for a June 9 court date in Denver, according to the citation. Third-degree assault is a class one misdemeanor in the state of Colorado and is defined as "knowingly or recklessly" causing bodily injury. If convicted, Edwards faces possible jail time and a fine of up to $1,000."
