To be clear, I wasn’t saying we won’t miss him or that I wouldn’t love to have him back. My point was that I don’t see him as a difference maker worth backing up the Brinks truck for at this point. But yes, he has an extremely high ceiling and if he’s going to make the money @MeanGreenZenwas referencing, it will be based on that high ceiling.

I think you missed what I was saying. Luck's role as GM seems to be the exception and not the rule, and even his job is not specifically to fire the head football coach.
It seems like only a few years ago, we were complaining that Bama had so many extra football staff that played a critical part of their success. It seems clear that in the modern era of college football, it's an advantage as long as it's all well run.
