Hearing from sources close to the situation that UTSA transfer John Buggs III is on his official visit at North Texas this weekend. John started 30 games for the Roadrunner this past season. He averages 10.9 ppg on 39% from 3pt. He is a Grad Transfer with 2 years left to play.

Agreed. You can have good players on a bad team. Eric Germany landed at Wichita State. Buggs and he were their best players.

Only difference is that he never faced a pressure FT while at NutsaCK.

Valid and also only shot 1.4 FTs per game for a total of 45 on the season. TP averaged 5 attempts per game and a total of 180 on the season. Doesn't mean Buggs isn't capable. Just hasn't been in much of a position to show it. Also doesn't seem to be his game. He averaged 6.3 3 point attempts per game and only 3.0 2 point attempts per game which typically means less FT opportunities.

We don’t need Buggs to be Tylor Perry. Seems like he might be more of a 3 & D role like Drez.
Would like to see us get one more big-time ball handler now. Maybe someone who can put the ball on the floor and get to the basket.

I agree. Another baller guard and one more big man and then we'll be golden.

This guy looks 30. Which is great. All love to Tylor, but he looks like a junior high/JV player. If all the championships and high NET rankings the past four years still can't convince the committee to give us an at-large bid, then maybe we can intimidate them to. I'm running out of ideas.
