I've been wondering the entire year what Kai was doing during COVID year, why he doesn't qualify for the extra year, and there it is.  He chose to not play.

Observing this team as they progressed through the season, Kai's maturity visibly jumped off the court with frequency. I'm glad he came to UNT. I'm glad he found success and purpose. I'm proud to call him a fellow alum.

I just hope that there is a clone of Kai somewhere and that Ross finds him...every few years.  As good as Tyler was, the team needed Kai's steadying influence.  I also hope that Jones, Scott and Sisoko have the kind of year that they ended the past year with.  Hoping that Cotton becomes the next Kai Huntsberry.

On second thought I don't think that there will ever be another Kai.  Thank you for your contribution to make this great year possible.
