With our team through the first six holes, we are currently in first place at -8, six shots ahead of WKU.  All other schools are over par.

I have a feeling they are in a rain delay at the moment.  Pretty big storms along the coast.  Hope they can wrap up the round today.

End R1 tied for 1st

Had to complete the first round early this morning, by my estimation, and we are currently tied for first with WKU at -5.  Looks like it will be a two horse race.  Hopefully, better weather and the lack of delays will help today and tomorrow.

 

We are also well represented in the race for the individual/medalist crown with all four golfers in the top ten after the first round.

Women are now in the lead early in the round.  We are on holes 1-3 and paired with WKU and utsa.  We have already birdied a hole and have a one shot lead.

I would expect WKU to keep falling back. Rd1 seems to be a bit of an anomaly for them. Right now, we just need to keep playing our game and we should win this thing.

We now have an 11 stroke lead over WKU and 24 stroke lead over utsa.

Both the Good Guys (-3 to +2) and WKY (-3 to +13) had worse rounds today. Most of the others had similar scores as their the first round.

WKU's Craig is trying her best to spoil that.

Ended a lot closer than comfort would have wanted, but still always nice to come out with a conference championship. Now the ladies can go and get that NCAA finals qualifier in the regionals. The quality is certainly there that this could be the year.
