Yes the Houston connection is always big.  Has anyone else in Houston lately noticed all the UNT billboards and the new marketing campaign?  Much better than anything I have seen them do in the past.  Impressed.

Honestly with our luck with prior JuCo recruits under McCasland, this approach seems really smart in the world of the transfer portal. Feels like those kids are overlooked these days, and I have no problem going after quality guys like that. Still need to keep recruiting a couple high school players a year, but Hodge seems to be doing it the right way.

Coach Randle is originally from Houston and we think he will clean up in recruiting there.  He played guard for Madison in 2007-09.   Those teams weren't tall but super athletic and played fast.   Another up-tempo hiring.
