I think it's excellent that universities support athletes and are proactive with various programs. I have a question based on something I came across. What are the universities doing for students who are not athletes? Do they have similar programs? Thanks.

I can’t speak for the present.  In the sixties, we had a counseling center.  Some doctoral students in counseling would do internships in the center under the mentorship of Dr. Bonk.  If I remember correctly.

I’m not sure if there is anything specific in terms of student mental health support that you have in mind, but I know that UNT has put more resources into student mental health in the midst of COVID.
 

It is also very easy for faculty to refer students for help from UNT’s CARE Team, if they see something concerning. I have filed referrals on a number of students who needed help and the CARE Team has been very responsive.

      Same types of things were said about Chandler Rogers the year before. Although the negativity was greater after he left. This is one reason folks can lose me with talk about the kids aren't loyal to the program anymore.

      Hope I answered that for you. If they would have just sat him and let his shoulder heal a few weeks then maybe we could have had a deep passing game the last half of the season. I noticed how poorly his play became and yet everyone insisted he wasn't hurt. Mestemaker proved if we had him starting we wouldn't have fallen ass-backwards into a bowl game.

      I'm really struggling to understand the people on here... These aren't exact quotes, but very close, and if I needed to, I could go find each and every one. I just want to get the timeline of events, along with their perceived reactions from many on gmg.com straight: 1. (Around mid-October) "Chandler Morris is going to be the best QB we've ever had!!" 2a. (C Morris announces portal entry) "Oh no! We lost another great QB to NIL$$! We hate the system!" 2b. "Chandler was trending downward since the Tulane game and was basically a shell of himself. We won't miss him." 2c. "Haha, enjoy riding pine and losing at Virginia!" 3. "OH! We got our new QB in Reese Poffenbarger! Did you see what he did at Albany!?!?!? He's going to be great! Forget Chandler Morris!" 4a. "Mestemaker had an amazing game! He's going to be a great QB for us!!! Eric Morris is a QB Whisperer. ...Who's Reese Poffenbarger?" 4b. "We would have won the bowl game if Chandler had played!" 5. "Chandler is not our "problem" anymore!!1!" Please help me. Who is Chandler Morris?
