Several friends have shared the opinion that it was somewhat disrespectful for Mac to be wearing red and black and posting Texas Tech rah rah videos so quickly after winning the NIT.  I have mixed emotions but feel like he could have waited through the weekend or maybe given us another week out of respect for the NIT and UNT friends and fans.

It looks like he was practicing getting his guns up right after the victory. Sorry just a bit of sarcasm.

Thx for the memories coach. It's the nature of college athletics, It made me a little more sympathetic of the feelings Arkansas State must've had six years ago this morning.

Really?  Tech fans are excited to see and meet Grant just like we were with Coach Morris.  We hired Coach Morris, the football OC from Washington State, during their Bowl prep and he quit and came to Denton "before" their Bowl game.  He arrived on a private jet wearing Mean Green colors.   It happens.

Already have a thread on this. Tech was about as accommodating as any university I have seen in a situation of this nature. Once the game was over, etc. he was a Tech employee. I applaud Mac, UNT and Tech for his this was managed. He is now a Tech employee and has a staff and roster to build. They weren’t going to wait another day or week. It is what it is. 
On the flip side, our program needs to become Boss Hodge’s just as quickly. Sorry, but the expectations of you and your friends is not realistic.

He came to North Texas and accomplished more for us than we ever could have expected. He has been incredible and he has exceeded his/our goals.

Now I fully expect him to treat the Texas Tech fans with every bit of enthusiasm that he has shown us all these years. He needs to make that splash hire as impactful as possible, and that means announcing it and promoting his new program as much as possible right now.

He's entitled to advance his career (that's how we got him) , and he didn't walk out like so many other coaches have done before. He waited until the last basket was made and the nets were cut down.

Maybe ESPN will start calling you by the correct name now...

But it's still better than their Tony Denton.

That being said, I hope reading the replies gives you and your friends a better perspective.
