How bout Kai this year.. I think a lot of us had some high expectations for him and sure there were some rough patches, but the kid filled the role and then some. 21 points and 6 rebounds to win the NIT title? His tourney run kinda reminded me of Brunson for the Mavs last year. Any time we needed to settle and get an easy bucket, sure enough there was Kai backing his guy down and getting a short turn around floater. He’s a player I’ll remember for a long time.

Love TP, and he was clutch at the end, but Kai and his defense on Tuesday, and then his all-around play yesterday, was what won it for us.

Kai did a hell of a job on Jelly. If it wasn’t for the bogus foul call on the 3, would have held him under 20. That’s INSANE while still producing on the offensive end.

What a road Kai has traveled, from JC, a year not playing, then D2 now NIT champs. That dude is a warrior!

Another terrible "non-call" was on a three by Jordan, refuse to use that stupid nickname, early in the second half.  He clearly created space by pushing off with his left arm.  Kai complained, but nothing came of it.  Jordan does the same on the dribble.  Kid gets away with a lot.

Agree. Kai has been spectacular, especially throughout the tournament.

Loved Kai’s confidence, tenacity, and energy!  It was great watching him compete this season.   His joy at the trophy presentation brought a smile to my face. Great moment for him.

I have LOVED watching Kai. He just took it up a whole other level at the NIT. I thought he would have been the MVP too.

He is a warrior as Marty said! Can we call him Cobra Kai? Because that would be a cool nickname.

And can we keep him? I want him to stay. This whole team needs to stay with us.
