If this team does not start hitting can't see things getting much better. Sorry to seem down on this team, but based on the preseason hype, this team is underachieving.

Also, sorry to beat a dead horse, but tired of them using Black as their primary color. We have one of the best nicknames in college athletics, and we screw up taking advantage of it, especially the softball team (reference wearing Black on Saint Patricks Day). I understand some have no problem with it, but IMO, it's BS. I Wish Jarred would "encourage" the Use of Green and White for all teams. I can understand the occasional use of other colors, but I am tired of the Black and Greys.

Neither was the defense or pitching in the WKU first two games.

This team is going through a major slump.

Based on how we have played against the better teams, it doesn't look good. To say the least, our team's hitting is poor. Not sure who the hitting coach is, but not getting it done. Were we overhyped or just not playing up to our potential? Fairly sure at this point we will have to win the conference tournament for any postseason hopes.

They are underachieving. Hitting has been a problem, but now pitching and fielding are becoming issues. 

I think some of the problems come from lack of consistency in our line-up.

Only change from last year has been in LF and our former starting LF'er is no longer on the roster.

There is left field but, Donohoe and Sparks also switch out on playing 3rd base. Also, DeLong has been rotating players in the DP spot too.

We've worn black all three games this week and we have lost convincingly all three games this week.

Coincidence, maybe, but the constant use of other school's colors doesn't really reflect positively on North Texas.

I do love the team though and will continue to support them. I too just wish they'd wear our school colors more often.

Lose 9-2. Swept in Bowling Green and none of the games were close.

Our Mean Green is a very good team but we also play against some very good competition. And even if we don't win every game wearing our green uniforms, at least we will have proudly represented our university.

In the meantime we've seen the same poison affect our football and basketball programs. We're not immediately cured if we stop drinking hemlock for a day, and the same goes for detoxing from our black uniforms.

Our pitching might be as bad as our hitting now.

I think the most life we saw out of the team today was coach getting tossed. I don't know who the leaders are, but it's time they stepped up and lit a fire under the rest of the team before this season slips away.
