A group of us went with students to Austin last month to lobby for more UNT funding.  During session, Springer introduced us from the senate floor and then lifted is pant leg exposing the UNT socks he had on.   He also said to the senate chair that he was disappointed that the senator who was over the El Paso area wasn’t there.  Apparently they had a friendly bet on the UNT UTEP game and the other senator was supposed to also be wearing UNT socks as I recall.

Scrappy is a man of the people!  Please tell me he wore a suit.
