Good for him.  I wish him well and hope he is happy up there.

FYI, Skalski's Dad that passed away in 2016 was from Argyle and played at Lewisville HS.

Good for him!  His salary offsets what we owe him, right?

I wouldn't expect much returned to us for that role. A lot of analyst take the job for near free since they are still on buyout money

Great hire by Venables.  I'm happy for Coach Littrell.

Jeff Lebby's chin is going to be bruised by mid-October from constantly looking over his shoulder at Littrell (especially if they lose to Texas).   Littrell understands Lebby's offense already for the most part (thanks to Bloesch), and will pick up Lebby's nuances rather quickly.  Plus, he has a deep bag of Air Raid knowledge of his own to infuse into it if Lebby's offense stalls.

Not to mention, Littrell already has a better relationship with Venables than Lebby does.

Sucks that NT doesn't get a bigger portion of Littrell's buyout knocked off by him going somewhere else in an official on-field role making more money.   Oh well, I'm sure Wren, Jared & Neal all knew that possibility going into the decision.

Best of luck to Coach Littrell in the future.

Fun fact. Jeff Lebby was in aggreement to come to North Texas after UCF. Ole Miss came in right before the deal was announced.

So Bloesch was just "We have Jeff Lebby at home"?

Glad we avoided that PR disaster.

"After Baylor fired then-head coach Art Briles — his daughter Staley is married to Lebby — Lebby became one of Briles’ most vocal supporters. Lebby was involved in getting T-shirts made with #CAB on the front, which stood for Coach Art Briles and was used to rally support on social media."

Great, dude can't get a real job, and now we the taxpayers get stuck with paying out his full 2 million dollar annual salary for many many years to come.  Thanks for making my day.

We aren’t stuck paying him because he can’t get a real job. We are stuck paying him because we gave him a contract and fired him before the contract ended. Most people don’t care to help out the place that fired them. In fact, many would do everything they could to stick it to their old boss the most.

Good post that is another indictment of the contract extension decision.
