We've won 50 games in two years, a CBI 'ship, an NCAA game, and a couple NIT games.

I think the CUSA tournament loss this year might have slowed down recruiting momentum a little, but I wouldn't get hung up on it like it was some huge blow to recruiting.  Especially since we have an opportunity - less than 7 days removed from UAB loss - win an NIT game and proceed to make a deep run.

I hope the team and all of the fans see this as a chance to prove who we are. We are not seen as a strong team and we have been left out of the NCAAT twice now with very good records. But it's rare that you get to go out there and prove them wrong, grab this chance by the horns and show them we are a great team. Keep grinding and winning these types of tournaments and we will be able to change our perception.

This is what I think the perception is, too. “Not good enough for the NCAA Tournament.”  We know the reality, but the perception of the casual fan is not reality.  The NIT is not a battle for the 69th best team in the country.

I think defeating Alcorn State is crucial.

This isn't just about us.  This is a story about dumpster fires, survival of Western Civilization, a lost dog, and the mysteries of Nostradamus.
