Our UNT women finished in eighth place out of the nine teams competing for the AAC title this past weekend.

Final Standings
1. Houston – 1,311.5
2. FIU – 1,300 
3. SMU – 1,208.5
4. Rice – 1,136
5. Cincinnati – 865
6. East Carolina – 681
7. Florida Atlantic – 573
8. North Texas – 506
9. Tulane – 419

This team has not been competitive in a long time.  I don't know if it's due to coaching, facilities or budget; but NT needs to reevaluate.   

The previous coach seemed to have the program going in the right direction and I don't think they have been close to a championship since Roth took over the leadership.  

Roth was an assistant, than named interim head coach and then named head coach apparently without any search or other interviews.   

I hope the new AD wants a program that does more than balance male and females scholarships.
