Nice way to start the season with two shutouts.

Ashley Peters with a complete game, two-hit shutout with 6K's against St. Francis.

We opened the day with the 5-0 win against IL-Chicago.  Savage went 1.1 innings (hope she isn't injured), transfer McKenzie Wagoner went 4.2 innings giving up 3 hits while striking out 10 and freshman MacKenzie Childers finished up with 1 inning, allowing 0 hits and striking out 3.

The girls looked good today. Anyone know the status of Savage?

Have not seen anything posted.

On a positive side note - UTSA has started off 0-3

Asked @Reed_Smith25 about this yesterday and he thought it was early season staff management. We got two pitchers in the first game for debuts, one (Wagoner) who struck out 10 over 4.2 innings and the other (Childers) who struck out the three she faced in her one inning hold. Ashley pitched all 5 innings of run-ruled  second game.

Ladies are up 3-0 vs UConn, middle 2nd. Per @Reed_Smith25, Lexi Cobb fields UConn's first hit off the center field wall, throws a perfect from the warning track for the inning-ending out (which base not reported).

6-0 against UConn. Still haven't allowed a run all season as of the 4th inning of game 3. Here's to hoping they can sweep GA Tech today and tomorrow.

GA Tech is 1-1 having split with UConn yesterday losing 6-5 and winning 2-1.

First the ACC Network is not the best. I expected a little more than one angle from behind the plate.

Having said that. this years edition of Mean Green Softball looks as strong as the team that played Oklahoma State in the Stillwater Regionals last season. And, there were no seniors starting today. DeLong has really built us a program.

This is something UNT could do and livestream their games.

The early games were unbearable to watch.  Single angle camera, no announcers, etc...  The UConn and GT games were much better.

OK, all "blah-blah-blah" aside, would it not have been better to have worn our school colors every day? You cannot see a single thing that indicates that's North Texas on the field with those single angle cameras.
