Edit: Can't believe I left Aaron Scott out of this.  I wish he would score more, but he does so much of the "dirty" work that he is easy to overlook sometimes.

the ball movement on that shot was awesome...really hard to foul after they crossed the midcourt.

I assume head-to-head is the first tiebreaker, so yes they are currently 4th even though MTSU also lost tonight. Blue Raiders beat UAB by a point in Murfreesboro, and the two teams will play again this Saturday. Both are 8-6 in conference.

That's not generally what you do though, because let's say they hit both free throws.  Then they foul immediately  You hit one of two...they have a chance to win the game with about 6 seconds to go.

 

 

And scoff all you want - i have seen that exact scenario play out.  You wait as long as possible to give the foul.  And if they're in a terrible situation (say 30 feet from the basket) you play it out.
