Recruiting Services Ratings

Seems like they use composite ratings - combination of 247/On3/Rivals/ESPN

I noticed Rivals has our guys rated what seems to be low - Most look to be a 5.4/2-star, which seems to be pulling us down
Hopefully they will be able to take a closer look and adjust

Bingo. They're giving default ratings to a bunch of those guys because of that. That's why I never liked rivals as a recruiting metric.

All of these recruiting services are kind of a joke now with most of the announcements being from the players on twitter.  They never have and never will really scout players that fall into the 3 star category.  Just not enough money in it for them.

Rivals has notoriously rated kids based on their offer lists and/or where they are committed. Commits to a G5? Two star or low 3 star. Flips to blue blood with no additional film, testing, etc, they jump to high three star or low 4 star. Years ago they assigned a 4 star rating to a fictional prospect with no film who had reported offers from Alabama and the like. They are truly a joke. 247 is better, but I prefer On3. ESPN is generally trash too.
