I'm hoping the recruiting services (247, On3, etc) actually take the time to give our guys a realistic evaluation and not the generic low 3* that a lot of G5 players recieve

Was just thinking this. Be interested to see where we end up when our guys get actual ratings.

We were saying the same things on SL's first signing day:

Looking forward to finding out who of this year's class is going to be the next Mason Fine, LaDarius Hamilton, EJ Ejiya, Rico Bussey, Khairi Muhammad, etc...   That was a pretty special class!

You are joking right?  Littrell had way more time to recruit that class, and half those recruits never played a down.  The top recruit of the class William Johnson was ineligible for grades at his time of signing and they kept that from the fanbase until two weeks after the season started.  There were some good players out of the class for sure and Mason Fine was his biggest recruit, but he had absolutely no competition for Fine and Graham Harrell was the one who found Fine.

This was Seth's best class by far... and most of those dudes played meaningful minutes... doesn't take away from what Morris and Co have done with this class... this is a different Era in recruiting

Littrell was hired December 5th. Morris was hired December 13th.

Huh?  Littrell was hired after the season just like Morris.  Remember “Lock the Gate”?
I love that you singled out a flop in this class & ignored the future HOF’ers.  And again, as has been hashed out over & over here… Littrell’s relationship (not Harrell’s) with Fine’s HS coach is what got us Fine.

The boogeyman is gone now.  It’s OK to reminisce about the good times.

Singled out a flop?  The #1 recruit in the class and they crowed about it and let everyone get their hopes up knowing he would never qualify the entire time and then waited until almost the 1st game to sheepishly let everyone know he didn;t have his grades.  Sorry Charley, but you really need to stop polishing a turd.

Dude... I called for seth to be fired for 3 years.   But you're saying the best class that produced the best years in 2 decades for the university wasn't good? That's a bad take.. if anything THIS class raised our standards to what we have now

I'm not arguing which is better, but Morris is getting the benefit of coming off a much better season than Littrell and company had to pitch to their recruits, which was 1-11.

Eric Jenkins was also in that class.

Glad you mentioned Jenkins. He and Bussey got NFL looks, Hamilton is with the Packers, EJ also got NFL looks and is playing professionally, and Fine is a potential CFL starter next year. Nick Smith and Wyche were competent RBs and JoJo was a decent pass rusher (although I think he was a Mac grey shirt). We can also add Pirtle to this class, btw. Yes, half the class didn’t make it here or contribute much but that is pretty much every G5 class, especially when the coach has to take risks to fill a class - also as mentioned after a one-win season.  We don’t yet know which of Seth’s classes will end up being the best one but this one helped turn this program around.
