He is a kickoff specialist. Didn’t kick PATs or FGs at Baylor.
I wonder if that is why he transferred?

IMO if you can KO into/out of the endzone every time - Do It!

I hate the new kickoff rules and miss the days of the potential of returns, etc.  Now it just seems everyone calls for the fair catch and is done with it.

I look forward to a good battle between Mr. Rauschenberg and Chris Clayton.

He was 0-2 on FGs.  It could be that Chris Cayton, last year's backup to Mooney (who I believe didn't make an appearance due to Mooney flirting with records) is good on extra points and short field goals but does not have a strong enough leg for kickoffs or long field goals...or they plan on trying Rauschenburg on all three.  If he can handle it...they may release Cayton.  Purely speculation on my part.

He already comes in ahead of Brett Maher in the DFW kicker power rankings

Welcome aboard Noah!  You're going to love kicking in Apogee (or whatever it's gonna be called)!

I may be mistaken, but it seems like I recall the b/u kicker being a little smaller (even for a kicker) which I attributed to him being younger.  Stats show 6'0"-200 vs 5'11"-175 for Mooney vs Cayton.  Baylor has Noah as 6'1"-204.

I look for kickoffs to be phased out, much like the tip off has been replaced in the 2nd half of college basketball.

Will Noah’s name fit across the back of a jersey ?

Well, it might need for a few letters to go under the armpits or have two rows.  Thankfully, this isn't basketball.
