Curious why one picked MTSU

WKU starting guard Luke Frampton is out for the season with ACL injury. Started in 20 games this season. He was a 6th year senior, so he is done.

Their coach Stansbury is also still out with unknown medical issues.

FIU is on the road will be a tough game for WKU.

Man, what's the deal with Stansbury, I think he's been out for a good bit now.  And I haven't read anything that specifies his illness.  Hope he heals up okay.

Happens when teams get in to their conference part of the schedule.  Its their way of keeping the man down.

What I started thinking about was, what kind of metrics can we look at to better see at-large chances?

You cannot just look at the CUSA overall OOC record (we look very good in this regard), you have to factor in the quality of those opponents.  I haven't gotten that far yet, but it would be interesting to look at things like averrage RPIs/NETs of the OOC schedule across all of CUSA.

That's just a beginning.  There are probably metrics you can pull.  Once you have done everything you want for 2022-23, then you start comparing it to the same numbers from seasons where CUSA did get an at-large.
