Is this really necessary?  This is the best tournament in sports, its very lucrative, gives every school a fair shot, lasts just long enough, and every year we get a Cinderella story.

I feel it should be, win your conference and you are in. Conferences should be aligned by region, winner of regions go on.

Why? So every big 10 school can get in ???

The only reason it is so big now, is those pesky sad conference winners have to be let in and there has to be more spots for the conferences that matter. 

What I would like to see if the team is not in the top 25 of a designated ranking, or wins the regular conference season or tournament, they don't go to the NCAA tournament.   

Let the third, fourth, fifth, etc. team of the conference go to another tournament. 

Of course the B10, SEC, PAC,B12 would never allow it.

For all practical purposes, every school already is in the NCAA Tournament.  It doesn't matter how sorry your regular season is if you win your league tournament, you're in the Big Dance.  No need to expand.

I dont think you can expand it, because it already fits in that perfect sports window in the national spotlight.  Its a 3 week tournament that starts right after the conference tournaments week.  It fits right between the Superbowl and the NBA & NHL postseason as well ass the start of MLB, so for 3 weeks its the most lucrative event in sports. 

The current breakdown of schools projected to be in the tournament has 9 schools from both the Big10 and Big12, that would mean schools with loosing conference records get in.  Why give schools a shot at the national title, if they have already proven they cant beat teams in their own conference?

The only way they should expand it is if there is a guarantee that they let more mid-major schools in!  And they shouldn’t expand it by much!

Agree. If it's just another way to get more P5 conference teams in, then NO!

With an expansion I would like to see them switch to where the 32 regular season conference winner get the automatic bid, and if a different team win the conferences tournament, and they have a winning records, that conference should get a 2nd team as long as that teams NET rating is within the top "X" of teams.
