Integrity and the NFL in the same sentence. This is just sour grapes from a fan of program that doesn’t have the money to make bad decisions and stay competitive on the field.  If you are a worker a new employer came offering better pay, better training, more comfortable environment and better chance of advance you are taking the job.  “NFL integrity” is tied to guaranteed money over multiple years.  Scholarships are yearly renewed.

The fact at UNT we don’t have enough people to commit dollars towards NIL and the program in general.  And leadership managing of the limited funds has been piss poor.   If Seth finds a better QB wins more games this player among many others doesn’t leave.  And maybe if they had fired Seth mid season and hired Deion Sanders you wouldn’t care about Jake leaving because his replacement would better.  In light of recent reminder of what these players risk every time they go on the field, this whining about 20 year olds getting pennies on the dollar in college transferring irritates me.

And yet you stay around when it's so bad.

If wants to leave that is choice in life.  I always like to remember who brought you to the dance and were the other suiters there in the beginning?  I sure he will get a pay increase wherever he goes and the best of luck to him.   I would have loved if he had stayed.

Four years to play four years, unlimited/unrestricted transfers (actually only 3 given the first stipulation), immediate eligibility on transfer, no waivers or extensions for injuries, hardships, etc.  The four year clock starts ticking when enrolled at the first school, no exceptions.  Take out all the loopholes and it's simple to enforce.  Four years, then get on with life...give the NFL a shot, continue education or get a job.

Following the recent trend by a handful of posters - Since he no longer plays here why is this on the UNT Football board?

I am right there with you but at least he just left the team.  Threads on guys like Siggers make no sense.  Our fanbase needs to move on from being concerned about guys that transfer out.  Especially when they aren't going to a P5 like Bean and Jake did.

I don’t blame him for leaving.  Last year Wazzu only threw .04% of the time to its tightends.  Baylor threw to them 22% of the time.

Rick

Eric Morris was Co-OC at Texas Tech when Tech tight end Jace Amaro was a unanimous All-American. Per Morris' Texas Tech bio, he was directly responsible for coaching Amaro. I doubt speculative tight end involvement is why Roberts left.

You are correct - it is NIL.
