From the UMass board:

Marcus Camby was in the house. Surprised he wasn’t introduced. He was with a couple of other guys I didn’t recognize. He was gracious…signing autographs and posing for pics with fans as he left the court.

This may be nitpick, but I really wish Huntsberry would embrace his talent more.  His ability to beat his guy off the dribble and penetrate is something we sorely need.  I feel like I don't see enough, could be wrong.

Having someone that can do that can offset a bad shooting night.  Not hitting threes? Penetrate and draw the foul.  A couple times tonight I saw him pull back for a mid range jumper (missed), and I'm thinking "why not finish that under the basket and get the contact?"

If we don't have that, and Abou continues to struggle, this offense seems limited or out of sync.  Borderline miserable to watch.

I agree completely. He's shooting about 25% on 3s on about 5 per game. He's lethal around the basket, though. Needs to be looking to get to the paint every time he gets the ball. Either he gets a lay-up, gets fouled and goes to the line, or can kick it out to an open man if the defense collapses. He's gifted off the dribble, just needs to embrace it.

I do feel that Ross Hodge could keep this roll going.  The system is working consistently and Hodge is a big part of that.

Hodge is as big of a no-brainer hire as it gets, in the unfortunate event that Grant gets a different gig.

I laughed at first and they went....huh.     Throwing money at Grant is a near sure thing.    It's not like he is recruiting superior talent.  He just recruits guys that fit his system and play hard.    Those guys have not been part of a NIL bidding war.

I just hope Grant is super happy here.  It would help to pack the pit more.

I will say this though.    If Grant moves on, I do feel that Ross Hodge could keep this roll going.  The system is working consistently and Hodge is a big part of that.

Why can’t we win and just enjoy it without thinking Mac is leaving?  We did this crap last year and here we go again.

We have to find away to avoid the long scoring droughts.  That what made Reese so special for us.  When need a shot to get us going he also seemed to step up.  He is still one of my favorite players.

I think I've made clear how badly I think our AD does of promoting our team with video/photos

I thought there might be something more to it, but it doesn't look like UMASS does much better.
