With the team leaving Tuesday for bowl prep. I hope the decision is made tomorrow or early Tuesday. So team can meet whoever before leaving. I know Frisco is only 30 mins away. But we don’t need any extra distractions

That requirement hs been debated a few times.  Is there in fact a 10-day window thag must be observed?

It is literally a bowl game. As much as any other. Are you mad cause it’s….. close? Cause you know a guy who wasn’t kicked off Fry St.?  Most of us haven’t been tbh.

I agree. Every time I have been given a rushed job it is never quite as nice as when I am given a good job. We all need to have those kind of jobs being done the right way.

Depending on who, the timing and availability, I would expect him to be there, likely in a UNT suite.

If he's been hired, I'd think meeting with the team and giving a quick "go get 'em" speech might be helpful for retaining those on the fence about leaving.  I realize it could be considered inappropriate/disrespectful for the interim coaches or that it might be a distraction.

Also, I actually first read this as "UNT suit"!  Could go with the full "Elton John" option or a simple blazer.

I’m sure part of the issue is that the posting has to be up for X amount of time and X number of people need to be considered etc

It seems as though JM was officially hired on the 10th day of the opening. If this is true, the the HC could be named as early as Wednesday, right?  I’m not entirely sure what counts as a day. 24hrs, weekends, the day of the firing?

Suspect Day 1 would be the day after firing and if in fact there is a 10-day window, there probably is a defined time too, 2:00p for example.

 

All speculation but I believe you are probably spot on with your Wednesday prediction.

I have no info, but I was hoping we’d have the new coach by today. Like another poster stated, I hope there’s action (recruiting, etc) behind the scenes despite not officially having a HC.
