Mike Bloesch serves as UNT’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. He was promoted to offensive coordinator and primary play caller ahead of the 2021 season, and moved to quarterbacks coach in February 2022. Bloesch was originally named the Mean Green’s co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach in January 2020.

Well, this simplifies things. Now we know for sure our new coach will need a new offensive coordinator. Hopefully we'll have a new head coach in place soon, and he'll need to select an offensive coordinator. I am partial to bringing Graham Harrell back for that position but that will have to be the head coach's decision.

I would think so, but I’m not really sure. I’ve seen coaches stay on and I’ve seen them leave. Why not hand the reigns over to Cobbs?!?!

Whoever our new coach is, I hope he'll keep PC. Hugh Freeze kept Cadillac on at Auburn and it was a marketing stroke of genius.  It would have caused an uproar if he hadn't, and no new coach needs that right off the bat.

And PC’s a hell of a Coach!

hard to keep them when they don't know who the head coach will be and if they will be retained.

Probably a little easier to keep position coaches than it is coordinators.

Best of luck to him and good luck.

We have to hang on to Cobbs, Clements and Mayes for sure. I would also like to see Mainord and Gush but to a lesser degree than the other three.

He's the first of many to follow. Will he stay for the bowl game?

I doubt it, Cal is going to want him out evaluating and recruiting on the quick.

Sept 2, 2023...Cal comes to Denton.

A whole new offense but he will know our guy's tendencies.

GMG

I hope they won't know much about our QB due to our new HC getting a better one than anyone currently on our roster.

It does suck to lose MB, but it's not a surprise.

So Cal hires an FBS OC for their OL coach and another one for their TE coach. Have a feeling (as history plays tricks on UNT) Cal will be improved since they play us.

Cal: Former Boise State offensive coordinator Tim Plough has been named the new tight ends coach.
