I like the play, but I don't know about that play at this level. I think the pass rush is too strong, the linemen are too tall for the RB to see well enough over them and I think the LBs would recognize it too quickly and drop back just enough to get the pick. For HS that's great, but I guess you are really talking about just having more guts and not necessarily that play.

Maybe, but creative plays help an offense by making defenders less confident in what they're seeing on other plays.

When you never do anything unexpected -- it's third and long and Darrell Dickey is going to keep calling a draw play until one succeeds -- life becomes easier for the opposing defense.

I think it definitely works at this level.  That play was run on 4th and 1.  If the opposing team’s linebackers are thinking pass in that situation, good!
