Gutsy win in a hostile environment against a good team. If you'd told me 3pt shooting was gonna be 9/22 GCU to 3/14 UNT I'd say we were gonna have a long night.

Also, as mentioned on the broadcast, the Mean Green are the only team in the nation that's beaten four conference champions from the 2021-2022 season.

Edit: The note was actually in reference to GCU--my mistake. They'd beaten three entering the game.

I was super worried at the start of the year, but it seems like this team is slowly starting to gel. I had concerns about Stone as well, but I am glad he is making me eat crow because his defensive efforts are good and he hits shots when he has to.

I wouldn't have seen any of this game if I hadn't set UNT basketball as one of my favorite teams on ESPN, which put the game live on the ESPN.Com homepage.

That ending was must-see TV. Love to see the Mean Green take charge and make the boisterous crowd go home unhappy.

Tough grinding victory. Huntsberry is really coming into his own, Scott's hustle is the thing that makes you just want to root for the guy. GCU is a really good team, I wouldn't be surprised if they were in the dance. You can tell both teams really wanted the W. Great win GMG!

Really good win. That Scott offensive rebound and one really swung the momentum for us when it looked like things could get away from us late.

good win, against a team that is probably tournament bound.  free throw shooting was better, they had to earn every point no "lucky" plays, and GCU didnt make many mistakes.

Pretty sure this was in reference to GCU and not us.  They mentioned if GCU won, it would be their 4th win over a 21-22 conference champ (using our regular season West win) so far this year.  Impressive for them.
