This is not the high school team we played last year. The loud crowd probably motivates them more.

Looks like mostly UNT fans on the broadcast at joe petchke arena.

NT 30 ------- UTA 29

16:05 to go

Ousmane was taking over at the beginning of the half.  Defense turning anaconda like.

Had a nice 6-0 run to go up seven briefly.  Their coach got T'd up complaining about a charging call.  The guys (other than Perry) really need to get better at shooting from the stripe though.  It's gonna kill us at some point in a close game.

Stone hit a trey to give us our biggest lead.

NT 49 ------- UTA 40

A lot of fouls being called on both sides...we're gonna need to hit our free throws to win tonight.  Hopefully Perry is the one who takes most of them, but he might be hurt.

Perry is back. Ousmane gets his 5th. He missed an alley-oop earlier. Don't understand how he's so bad at finishing dunks at his height. We're having a hard time rebounding defensively. It's starting to really hurt, especially being in foul trouble.

These  referees are bad both ways, but UTA is using it to their advantage.   We need to take inside more and draw what is becoming automatic foul calls every time.  We are standing back missing 3s where there is little chance for a foul call.

Definitely.  McCasland's teams tend to not drive very often, even when the lane is open.  I know they prefer to play a slow pace, but it's frustrating to see some of these opportunities go by.
