Looks like Boise has three possible NFL players on their roster. The running back is one and he has had injuries through his career and most likely won't play his final season from what I read.  He is a big loss if he does not play they Boise State is not same team without him.  Again we have a knack for making back up players great.

Their Safety, QB  and OT are also listed as possible NFL prospects.  Maybe if the starting qb and rb decide to sit it out maybe stand a chance.  The Safety would also be helpful to us.

We have Aune..........please

Only downside, 8:15 PM kickoff! 11:45 PM ending, most likely. Oh well

Those of us with kids and family obligations, this is great. After bedtime is always a win!

It sounds like one hell of an opportunity for a beer and cocktails party to me;  a perfect addition to the holiday season.

It would be nice if the new coach and AD could be there for a meet and greet!

Not impossible, but extremely highly unlikely. State law says that the job opening is supposed to be posted as open for 30 days. That said, it doesn't always happen that way.

But, I'd almost bet that BOTH our future football coach and our future AD will be in attendance at this game. One may already be on staff and the other may have been in informal discussions with North Texas for a while.

I have seen a few tweets from the players complaining about this. An unmotivated team playing against a top tier G5 school is a recipe for disaster.

Well, hopefully  they have enough self pride to play their best and send their coach out with a bowl victory. Besides, going to the AAC next season and better bowl opportunities.

No.  Texas fired Tom Herman Jan 4, 2021 and introduced Steve Sarkisian Jan 12, 2021.

Is it a law if it is never enforced?

I believe they sign a letter of agreement while they are waiting. I would think there are other ways around this rule if needed.

As has become the case way too often these days, the law only applies to some while others are exempt.

Anne, in the NFL that is a joke!!!!

Well, she’d be the first women in the NFL so it’d make a great story if it were to happen🤣
