Kevin Barbay.  Look at his bios and tell me this guy couldn’t take over the reigns at UNT.  Coach Barbay has done it all and he belongs back in Texas.  Who’s to say he couldn’t sway some SE Texas recruits to Denton?

Go look at the countless threads where it’s been discussed. This seems like a guy TX ST would hire, IMO.

I think we need someone with better name recognition coming from a P5 program with experience as Cooridinator recruiting heavily within 400 mile radius of Denton.  And I don’t know by looking at his résume that he can bring top notch coordinators with him.

Saw his name talked about on here a while ago. While i do like him, I don’t think he’d be someone that UNT would hire simply due to him not having any HC experience and I feel like that might be something they strongly prefer in this next hire. Now his connections to Texas, performance as OC vs A&M and being a former GA at UNT might be enough to make them hire him but we’ll see

I see a lot of evaluation skills mentioned in his current resume, but I don't see any mention of the "difference making" players that he recruited and subsequently developed.

I still am enamored with baby Briles.  I know they lost to Missouri yesterday and that was somewhat disappointing but I still like how he calls a game.  On the other hand like my girlfriend said we need someone who has coaching experience.
