I mean, they were the original, so everybody else is pretty much copying them with that particular winged look.

That was Halloween, IIRC. Blackout would be cool if we had a night game on Saturday. 1 PM Blackout would be a little weird.

I personally prefer the green and white colors for our uniforms but if excites the team then wear them all you want.  the one thing I do not like about the black jersey's is it hard to read the names on their back.

Nothing say MEAN GREEN quite like wearing all black.

We seems to constantly take one of the best nicknames in College Football and find ways not to market it.

I know some on here do not like traditions, but wearing all black, being mean green, being North Texas, being Eagles ....

does sort of water down the actual brand. We have entire threads on what the uniform of the week is so I guess that is what our tradition is now.

I’m sure it’s next to impossible to do, but I’d like to see a chart showing which uniform combination was worn on what day, of every game North Texas has played in, and the winner of that game.

My guess is the seniors or players in general had a say in this choice. It’s pretty sharp.

You're probably right. Personally, I'd like it if Wren let the season ticket holders vote on the uniforms one week.

You’re so right. We should wear nothing but solid green everything all the time. Definitely don’t have fun uniforms for the kids to show off. That would be unacceptable.

And here I thought it was about winning. Guess the players at Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Texas, Alabama, etc never get to show off their uniforms? But maybe showing off uniforms should be all we expect at ole UNT
