One possible takeaway:  this is happening, despite how downright awful we think CUSA is.

Traynor is winning CUSA, taking care of a few OOC wins, and being competitive in their losses.  That, apparently, is all you need.

Takes more than that. Also, they were 28th in last week’s AP poll. Just appears to be where they are regarded, with or without their own vote.

That’s what happens when you win 12 games and then come right back the next year and head toward double digit wins again.  You start to get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to perception regardless of competition. They’re “in the club” until they’re out.
