First-place Roadrunners to face Rice on Saturday in Houston

SAN ANTONIO — Riding a seven-game winning streak and alone atop the Conference USA standings at 6-0, UTSA (8-2) will travel to Houston to face Rice (5-5, 3-3) this Saturday, Nov. 19. Kickoff is set for noon at Rice Stadium and the game will air on ESPN+ and Ticket 760 AM. The Roadrunners can secure the right to host the C-USA Championship Game for the second straight year with a win over the Owls. UTSA has won the last six meetings with Rice, including a 45-0 shutout last year.

Rice doesn’t look like they have any interest in extending their season.

Worst case scenario for us, Rice has to beat us to go to a bowl and UTSA gets to rest their starters next week and prepare for us.  If Seth loses to Rice at home he should be shown the door immediately after.

I’ll be shocked if Rice is even close in this game. Our running game should dominate their defense. Rice is not good—at all. These are the type of games SL thrives in. And it gets him to 7 wins and the CUSA Championship game. My bet is we win big here.
