UAB is really the #2 team in the conference.  They're only out of the race due to losing their QB for several games and losing too many close games.

4 posessions so far (2 for UAb 2 for UNT). UAB won them all. logical score: 14-0 UAB. Neither offense nor defense looking any good so far.

Yes, but for an even more practical reason; to help distinguish the teams. I must imagine the QBs are having to really make sure who's who before they make throws.
