Curious as to why Tulane and Tulsa aren't playing every year

Looks like Smut is the only school we play every year, Tulsa and UTSA 3/4 years.

So even the AAC has labeled us as Rivals instead of with UTSA, lol.

We have rivalries with both. Just makes more sen$e to have it with SMU due to the close proximity.

Proximity I would guess. Two schools that close should be a guaranteed seat filler/revenue generator if all 12 SMU fans show up.

Every year rival games are NT-SMU, UAB-Memphis, Rice-UTSA, Charlotte-East Carolina, Navy-Temple, Florida Atlantic-South Florida, Tulsa-Tulane

I  am glad you are happy, but how are attendance records going to be made next year. Are a lot of people waiting to watch 3 and 6 Temple and 4 and 5 Memphis.

Let’s say UNT finishes the season with a conference championship appearance (maybe win?) and a bowl win.. they go into the next season with momentum and get to open play against a P5 school. The last time a P5 school came to Denton? 2011. Might get that elusive Apogee sell out.

Usually, OCC contracts are canceled when the schools both join the same conference. If one or both leave, then the contracts much be renegotiated.

Memphis is down some this year but they won’t be for long!

This is only for the first 6 years.  It can be refigured after that.  Perhaps it will since your redesign is good too.
