The decision to play or not play our backup QBs may be situational this year.   We are making a run at a conference championship...this year.  Aune is our starting QB and is our best option for winning this year and if many of the posters on GoMeanGreen are to be believed, isn't a very good QB.  So, he stands to benefit and improve his skills too with more game experience, right? So, if he's our best chance and additional experience will make him better, then it makes sense that he stays in.  Now, if we were out of the conference championship race, then sure, let's start building for next year.

I hear he is still trying to learn the plays.  He’s a good player though they like him a lot.
