I lived in the Birmingham area for a couple of years. Birmingham is a great city and the area surrounding the city is beautiful. The area where the new stadium is located is pretty cool. Lots of stuff to do down there. Great food and if you're into the local beer scene, they have some really good local options. Good People, Trim Tab, Cahaba and Avondale are all good choices. (I gained 20 lbs. while living there) 😂

Dang. We should hand together.  Those are the same places I was going to pitch…as well as Dreamland BBQ. 
 

Sara is from Alabama and is a BAMA grad.  We go back a couple of times a year….

I live just south of Birmingham. so we will be there. The surrounding area around the stadium is amazing like Colony said great restaurants and even a top golf one block over. The only down side is parking if you are not straying close to the stadium

      Odom DC??

      It was the highest paid assistant position in all of G5. We're in DFW and its recruiting potential. We'll get looks. I haven't dug into who's available, though. I'm sure NIL budget would play into this, too, but I don't have any insight into that.

      I guess it depends on the DC. The LaTech guy may want to make the jumo to the AAC. Same for the Sam Houston DC. The Rice DC just had their HC fired.

      sure. so maybe it's just semantics, but nothing above equates to "elite" for me. both from the standpoint that "elite" is rarified company and too when we start using language like that the @untbowler's of the board will show up only after every loss to blame our deified coach and the AD that didn't go after Will Wade I guess. just trying to help keep ten toes on the ground for everyone and make sure the basketball conversation stays intelligent and not at all resembling the football forum.

      That just sounds like delusion to me. If the defense breaks into the top 80 next year statically, I will be very surprised. Of available job openings at this level will be low on list. I would much rather join a brand new staff with 2 years of stability guaranteed than come here.

      🤣🤣🤣🤣. Hypocritical yes. Unfair? Because y'all were stupid enough to get caught repeatedly? Give me a break. Without the Penn State scandal this opinion had no basis in the reality of what happened to SMU. I will give y'all credit for trying. But again this thread being posted here is part of the big reason we are a Joke Program and NOT SMU's rival. I have never been more disgusted with our Program and we are waxing poetic about SMU while UTSA laps us. 🙄
