FAU beating UAB helps the Mean Green

Based on today’s performance and no further major injuries going forward we should be favored in the rest of the regular season games.  UAB worries me but now they have to knock UTSA off before getting to our game to still be in the championship picture.  FAU is in our rearview mirror and can only help us going forward.  If they get lucky and we take care of business, they are coming to Denton and I like our chances.

We got an unexpected blessing on the UAB debacle but just hope it doesn’t backfire - I mind says if they somehow beat UTSA, I think they’d have a let down game with us (good news) but if they lose they’ll be like the old wounded animal and wanting to save face - very dicey for us 🤔

Like the general consensus here, I think we are in a good position to clinch a spot in the conference championship game, but I'm not holding my breath on UTSA losing twice. UAB looks totally beatable, but we have to take care of business, too. Hopefully the fans show up next week. A big win in front of a good crowd could give this team the momentum needed to win out through the regular season and put on a good game at the Alamodome December 2.
