Fcs to fbs transfer approach seems to paid off

Mazin Richards is 22 in the nation in sacks.  

Stone Earle looks like he's in the driver seat for qb1 next yr.

Nicholas Nakwaasah was the starter in camp before injury 

Ridge Texada is our best cover corner

Kaylon Horton speed is special. 

I'll say I was wrong! Go get some ballers from fcs but also still think we need p5 transfers for more size.

Kadren Johnson is 3rd on the team in sacks with 3.5 and Jordan Smart has been a solid receiver addition.

On the P5 side, Enoch Jackson at DT and Jay Maclin at receiver have been good. Good players to be had coming up and down from the portal. Just have to get the right ones.

Johnson single handedly ruined one of WKU’s drive in the 2nd half!  Great find!

I was wondering where Johnson came from. Assumed he was a recruit I had forgot about

I apologize for being a terrible judge of talent. I under rated our transfers and over rated the qb room! Thought Earl or Grant would be starter and killing it!!

Heck Mazin wasn’t even FCS, he was D2 which is below FCS. We got a steal.

Roster lists him as a Junior.  I know he graduated at Tarleton, but maybe covid year made that possible.  Would be tremendous to have him back.  Feel like he’s just getting warmed up.

I’ve always kind of liked finding the hard worker who was either overlooked or didn’t have the measurables.  I always felt like Charlie Strong worked well with that type of kid and SL may be the same.

UNT has been very good at finding talent around the margins in the Littrell era. The current roster has a TON of talent.. and seems like they might be putting it together at the right time.

The short time I was able to catch some the WKU game, I had it on mute because my wife was napping. She woke up after the targeting was reversed.
