I like Deion. I like his energy, his personality, and his chutzpah is over-he-top entertaining. He obviously knows football and has shown himself to be an extraordinary recruiter and capable coach. My gut however tells me he's not the right fit for North Texas. Although, if by some chance Deion should become our coach, I will be his biggest fan!

Right with you and would support him 100 %. Not sure how good he can coach, but we know he can recruit. Just don't know what his message would be to get top players here.

If he didn’t get a P5 job and it was possible and he would do it, I think the message to him is “come here and win, put us on the map and hopefully you’re getting the Florida St job in 3 years and we’re continuing our climb with the next guy….

You can’t really believe this.

Tell me the last time we had a sell out, won a conference championship, flipped a 5 star kid from Florida State to come to our school, had gameday come to our campus, and had a QB get Heisman attention from the national media.

All of these things Jackson State has accomplished. Meanwhile we can't even win a damn bowl game or sell out a stadium. It's sad how much this program has regressed.

Flipping a kid and having Gameday on campus are 100% because of Deion, and I’d argue the Heisman hype is because of Deion as well.  He brings attention, but that doesn’t place Jackson St. ahead of UNT in the NCAA hierarchy.

His son is good, but numbers put up by a legit P5 level QB against low-level FCS should never put you in a conversation for the Heisman

He wouldn't even consider coming here. He's building something at jsu

They’re an FCS that doesn’t compete in the FCS playoffs.  Looks like he’s about hit the ceiling.

all deon.  nothing to do with Jackson St being a better perceived brand than UNT.
