He's a decent big man, but TWO first round picks for him?!?

I am thinking his success last year was a one-time thing. 2 1st rounders does sound a bit steep.

I used to think he was OK before last season, but he did have one of those breakout/contract seasons.

The two first rounders isn't a big deal because if the Mavs are drafting near the end of the first round (they better be) those picks aren't usually high quality (it's what makes the Josh Howard pick so amazing) and those guys get guaranteed money too. A second round pick or FA is much more suitable to the Mavs with their talent and money issues, so the picks are worth a lot more to others than the Mavs.

The Mavs got three players, Dampier, Eschmeyer (I have been waiting breathlessly for his return as a Mav) and Dan Dickau. Apparently we need a white point guard with bad hair for Nellie's offense to work.

Seriously, the Mavs now are one player bigger and they already had too many on the roster, so they cannot be through dealing yet. It seems like Stackhouse is next.

Hey, Laettner is gone, Dampier is here...we're better off. And like Coach said, two late first round draft picks might be worth it.
