South Alabama QB Gio Lopez signs with Belichick/UNC for $4mil /two years
The Tennessee QB last week broke his contract by sitting out for more $...they kicked him off the team. But I doubt most schools would do that with a key player. ............................................ The part of the Gio story that outraged me was the admitted poaching going on by UNC... Gio was not in the portal and was involved in spring practice at S. Ala when UNC approached him! "According to sources, North Carolina initiated contact with Lopez's camp in March and continued talks all the way through to Thursday, when Lopez finalized his deal with general manager Michael Lombardi and the Tar Heels." -
