Houston is currently 2-2 and losing to Tulane.  Are they overrated, barely beating UTSA and Rice, but also barely losing to Tech who just beat Texas?

Im asking bc either UTSA and Rice have improved a bunch or Houston is truly overrated. Thoughts?

UTSA won 12 wins last season so I'm not sure what "improved a bunch" means for them.

Too early to tell on Rice, IMO. Sometimes teams just match-up well against others. Rice also beat Louisiana Lafayette who went 13-1 last year and won 10+ wins for 3 straight season but they have a new QB now so who knows what they really are this early in the season. Rice has mostly been rolling with the same QB this season, though.

UH has a terrible defense and no coaching at all.  Still not sure why they extended Dana through 2027.  Another move like NT did with Littrell that isn’t working out.

They're better than us.  From my perspective, that's all that matters.

Reminder that some Mean Green fans seems to enjoy other teams doing bad more than getting upset that we don't win

Did Dana Holgerson elect to go on offense first in overtime vs Tulane? If so, why?

I haven't seen that mistake made since Corky did it in the Nevada playoff game in '83.

Houston must be having a bad season because the Cougar Queen has not been around much.

I guess he could have got a full time job that kept him away.

Yes, Dana chose to go on offense first.  What a stupid move.

Come on Wren, work your magic and hire Dana Holgerson away to UNT. There are plenty of bars in Fry Street and The Square plus Dallas and Fort Worth are nearby.

No one will hire DH.  He’s getting that money through 2027.
